PARR Family,
This is it! The very last (VERY!) long run for the season. And the best part is right around the corner… TAPER TIME!
Because of the timing of the Houston Marathon, “the longest run ever” typically falls right around the Christmas holiday(s). But I have faith in everyone to get creative. There’s already quite a bit of chatter amongst the groups for alternative plans. So stay tuned to Facebook and choose a time that works in your schedule. I’ve seen posts about long runs for tomorrow (December 22) all the way through to Tuesday (December 27). If you are going rogue, there’s no need to go it alone. Please just be sure to have a plan for water and nutrition.
The “official” (supported) run is still scheduled for SATURDAY (Christmas Eve), starting from Wild Pear. Just a reminder, this is not a race! It is solely for time on your feet. EASY PACE. FM+2 min (or slower). You may even consider not having your pace visible. The goal is to be able to eat all the things once you are done! Start times have been adjusted because I know most of you will do so anyway, and this way we can get to the celebrating that much earlier.

*Water at 1128 and across the street from the back entrance to Independence Park (so on the west side of Pearland Pkwy)
Need Options?
A few FMers commented on my Facebook post wanting shorter route options, so I’m also posting a few of the long run routes we’ve used from Wild Pear this season. I hope this is helpful. Loops are also a good option if you are iffy on mileage.

Got Milk! Chocolate Milk, That Is!
We’re fully stocked on chocolate milk for this run (thank you, Pam, and your team!). Pam will be watching Facebook and may be posting her own to see when the majority of runs are happening. Even more reason to make sure everyone knows when you are running!
Aimee is on vacation, but if you have any questions, PLEASE don’t hesitate to call, text or email me.
Happy, Happy Holidays to all of you!
