WEEK 24 – Saturday, January 4, 2020

Hi Y’all,
It’s Caroline here, on behalf of Aimee, Andrea, Kaylin and myself, we would like to wish you and your family a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2020 be filled with countless blessings and many memorable miles for you all! With that said, GUESS what time it is? That’s right! It’s TAPER TIME! WHOOHOO! At this point, there’s very little NEW fitness to be built, however we have every opportunity to jeopardize our race if we overdo it, become injured, or don’t listen to our bodies.
You’ve done the work. Put in the training. BRAVO, BRAVO! Now, BE SMART! Listen to your body.
You may want to WARN those closest to you that you are now a “tapering athlete”—approach with caution! ? It’s a great time to catch up on some sleep, eat good foods and try out all of your new run gear Santa delivered! Don’t save the new clothes, shoes, gels, etc for race day! Break them in NOW! Now is the time to experiment if you still haven’t found “YOUR” thing. Nothing NEW for race day!
#PARRty
PLEASE NOTE: Due to our SEATED DINNER this year, there will be NO WALK-Ins allowed at the PARRty, SORRY Y’ALL!
Thanks to all of you that have RSVP’d for our PARRty! We are expecting 225 guests, {WOWZA} and there’s NO DOUBT this year will be AN EPIC end of season celebration! As far as the dress, some come casual others will be dressy to rival some PROM pics I’ve seen!! ? Bottomline, it is ALL perfect and anything goes! Do YOUR thang and come as you wish!
When: Friday, January 10, 2020 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Where: Golfcrest Country Club
2509 Country Club Dr.
Pearland, TX 77581
Never fear about being out late on Friday night, our LAST organized weekend run for the season will be Sunday, January 12th and will be a race rehearsal of sorts minus the distance, oh, and the port-o-potties (we won’t be providing those, sorry!) but a similar race day start time!
