Hi Y’all,
This will be a week we will never forget. I hope that all of you and your people are safe and dry. I know the focus this week has been making sure of this minute by minute.
Need Help? Can Help?
And now the focus has shifted to helping those that need it. We know everyone is helping those they know or even don’t know in their own way. But Kaylin is leading an effort to determine who in PARR NEEDS help and how we can get those that CAN help connected to them. If you are either of these or know one of our PARR people that is unable to do for themselves…please reach out to Kaylin at 713-875-1463 or kaylin.olson@olsonsmith.com if you haven’t already. Especially if someone is displaced. Jump on the FB page…there is immediate need, like now. We got you, Ariana. HUGE thank you to Kaylin for doing this.
Saturday Details
For those that need it, emotionally or physically, we’re keeping the schedule for Saturday’s run. We realize it might be a light turnout, but it also might be a huge turnout. It’s been a weird week. This would be a good day for a 29 mile run, because everyone has so much to share…there just aren’t enough miles. But we’ll try…in 80 or 120 minutes. And then we’ll do CORE immediately following, so throw in that towel or mat as well.
5:00AM – FM to meet at Turner for warm up, 12 hills and a cool down (120 minutes total) – at this point, I think we’ll be heading to the Bailey Bridge as it appears the sign was moved (does it seem like a million years ago we ran hills!?!?)
5:40AM – HM to meet at Turner for 80 minutes total – this will be an out and back (behind the school, up McLean and left on Magnolia…turn around at YOUR 40 minutes)
*Curfew was lifted yesterday, so you won’t be breaking the law 🙂
**Water will be at the bridge and McLean – it will be clean, but probably not cold like we we’ve been spoiled with though!
***Many folks are this as a virtual RunforTexas – an easy $10 donation => https://runsignup.com/runfortexas
We hope to see you Saturday to reconnect…and if not then, soon.
