Saturday Run – 10/18/14

Hi y’all,
Are you still with us?!?  We are on PAGE 7 of the schedule already. That’s a pretty big deal…there are only 12 pages, y’all!  Holy cow. More than halfway through and just getting started on the good stuff.

End of September through the first couple of weeks of December are big racing weekends….so that can mean light crowds for the organized runs.  BUT…we’re a running group…it’s what we do, right?!?  Everyone is doing whatever they can to get their long runs in…Thursdays, Fridays (FRIDAY NIGHTS EVEN, PEOPLE!), Saturdays and Sundays.  Impressive.  So keep at it and show up when you can!

Saturday is the second race in the Bridge Series – the Galveston Toughest 10K.  Hope to see a big crowd again out there painting that causeway ORANGE!  Caravan is leaving Lowe’s in Pearland at 5:30AM.

We’ve asked for help with water a few times recently, and will be doing so for the next several weeks.  Our regular water delivery system is out of commission, so if we want water on the routes we will need get volunteers to help out each week.  Let me know if you are able to help this Saturday.  I’ll post on FB as well…to catch those that never make it to the bottom of my emails 😉

Scheduled run for this weekend is a long steady run (LR pace) 7 miles for the HM and 12 for the FM, departing from Turner High School / PJHS track. Start times and link to routes below.

FM – Depart at 5:30AM – 12 Miles – Turner:

As always, let me know if you have any questions or any issues with the routes pulling up (bridge loop, independence park, neighborhood woopty-do included).

Happy Runs Y’all.
