Hi Y’all,
We saw lots of smiling faces from the Austin area, Kemah and Galveston races where our members raced, acquired PRs and had lots of fun. Several of our members achieved podium finishes so HUGE Congratulations to Lea De Jesus (1st AG) and Khon Truong (3rd AG) in the Kemah Triathlon. Congratulations to all our members on their races.
This weekend is another busy week for our members. We have close to 50 members running in the Houston Half Marathon and 10k race on Sunday (look for our TENT! Yes, we’ll have an actual space setup in the party club village – we’re becoming a bigger and bigger deal all the time 🙂
The official HM photographer will be at our tent at 6:15 a.m. so please arrive on time if you want to be included in the picture. The PARR picture will take place shortly afterward. There will be carpools leaving Wild Pear around 5 a.m. so please check the PARR Facebook page for information on carpools.
There are also at least 10 or more members competing in the Waco Half Ironman Triathlon. The Waco area has received a tremendous amount of rain and there are reports of big, floating debris in the river where the competitors will be swimming and lots of gravel/dirt on the road. Let’s wish our members and the other competitors safe races this weekend.
Injury Evaluation and Presentation
Do you have a sprain, strain, or nagging pain? Some of us may be dealing with these conditions now so we are lucky to have a new guest speaker join us in a few weeks.

Thank you to Kaylin Olson and Khon Truong for their efforts in bringing C. Foster Physical Therapy to PARR. C Foster will be offering free injury screenings after the run on Saturday Nov. 3rd in the Wild Pear parking lot. During your free screening, a licensed physical therapist will check your muscles and joints. You will then be provided with a recommendation on the next steps to take to get you moving better. Each screening should take about 5-10 minutes!
