WEEK 15 – Saturday, November 2, 2019

Hi Y’all,
Aimee here! Are we having fun yet?!? We’re in the grind of it all, the miles and hours…we’re building up those calluses…the mental and the real ones! JUST KEEP SHOWING UP!
Looking like another GLORIOUS day for running. 50 degrees is our jam, and 44 is a PARTY! Some of us live for a cool running day to fall on a long run day! And it looks like it’s happening again this weekend.
Huge congrats to our PARR contingency out at the Marine Corp Marathon that powered through in the rain and then stuck around, cheered and definitely affected the outcome of the Astros game 5 that night! And also to the mighty folks that did the Waco Half Ironman! Our fearless water team leader, Travis Shirley, took on the Kansas City Marathon. And of course, we had a huge group that did the Houston Half! Huge thanks to Andrea, who made sure our big ol’ orange PARR tent was there for everyone to congregate and meet up! Turned out to be a perfect running day…and if you’ve run that race before, you know just how hot the last weekend in October can be. Lots of PRs and FIRSTS and lots of good stuff. So. Freaking. Awesome. Y’all raise the bar for all of us every weekend.
#PARRswag – Get Stuff!
If you are still suffering from FOMO, and haven’t gotten your PARR shirt…please, please, please make an effort to get to Wild Pear to get your order in…like today. They’ve got shirts, tanks, jackets (3/4-Zip and full zip…they’re super nice, y’all! Get you one.) They will be putting in, what will likely be, the final order for the season. Which means, when you call on Saturday before the BIG RACE…asking how you can get a shirt (has totally happened)…
#PARRSaturdayRun – November 2, 2019 – Start at Turner

#PARRty
One of our favorite things, besides all the miles, is our end of the season celebration! We’re changing it up this year! Details to follow, but get your Sharpie out and mark on your calendar FRIDAY, JANUARY 10, 2020 as the date for the PARRty! And save your gasps…we’re going to adjust our last group run to be held on that Sunday as a little dress rehearsal for the big race day!
