WEEK 19 – Saturday, November 30, 2019

Gobble, Gobble Y’all,
It’s Aimee Galley again!  We’re getting the email out early this week, due to the holiday.  We want you to have plenty of time to make a plan for your run to get from your eating pants on Thursday to your running shorts on Saturday!
Huge thanks to Kaylin and Wild Pear for hosting our first ever MOVIE NIGHT last night!  Fun, fun.
We’re excited to see everyone out in the morning for the Pearland Turkey Trot!  While online registration is closed, they do have race day registration and will gladly take you!  Here is a link to the race information if you need it.
We’re anticipating a lighter crowd on Saturday with folks traveling for the holiday…or potentially who just indulged too much in either food or Black Friday Shopping! We also have a group of ladies headed out to Run Girl on Sunday morning. Best of luck to all of you!
#PARRSaturdayRun – Saturday, November 30, 2019
Start at Turner
We’re back at Turner this week.
FM – 5:00 AM – 16 Miles Marathon pace run. 4 miles easy, 60 minutes at FM pace, finish with easy pace
HM – 5:30 AM – 12 Miles. Long, steady run at your FM+2min pace.
Walking Group – 5:30 AM – 10 Miles Turnaround at Forest Lane.
Water will be at Southeast corner of Oiler Drive and Pearland Parkway.
#PARRPancakeRefuel
Rumor has it… from a pretty reliable source… that some elves will be busily cooking up breakfast during our long run on Saturday, Dec. 7. Can you say PANCAKE REFUEL??? Sounds pretty genius to me! Make plans now to join us for a pancake breakfast post-run cooked especially for us by the elves of Wild Pear! You don’t want to miss out.
#PARRty
One of our favorite things, besides all the miles, is our end of the season celebration! We’re changing it up this year! Mark your calendar for FRIDAY, JANUARY 10, 2020 as the date for the PARRty! Registration is going to open right after Thanksgiving, so be ready. You MUST let us know you are coming (the earlier the better) and registration WILL close early as we have to give our final numbers to the venue in advance.
#PARRAngelTree
Every year, one of the coolest things PARR does is adopt families through the Pearland ISD’s Angel Tree program. More information coming after Thanksgiving about timing and how that works. Get ready to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter!
Happy Runs, y’all.
