Hi Everyone,

Can you believe we’re about to end week 4 and it’s already August?  The good news is we’re now in the middle part of the Houston summer and it’ll only be another 14 or so weeks before we get our first cold front and we are able to run in 55 degrees weather again.  Until then, the sound of wet, squishy socks will continue to wake up Pearland residents in the early morning hours.

We continue to have very good turnout for the Monday morning/evening bridge and Wednesday/Thursday track sessions.  There’s always an open invitation for anyone to join any of those group sessions.  For those who have been unable to join, we hope you’ve had good runs this week.  If you’re unable to join these group sessions and need a running buddy, the best thing to do is to post on the PARR FB pace to help find someone to join you.

Pace Groups Formation

We’ve had many questions regarding the formation of the pace groups and we’re getting there. We know some of you are anxious to meet your potential, new soul running buddy but we still lack times/info from many members before we are able to finalize the pace groups. We will make one last push this week to get some information from folks and then call it good.

Guest Speaker

You are invited to a free running form clinic presented by Coach Jeremy Brown and David Rosenthal to be held on Saturday at 6:30 at Wild Pear Food and drinks will be provided.  This is a good opportunity to learn and also meet fellow PARR members.

PARR New Member Registration

At some point, we must close registration to any new members and that point of time is coming.  If you know of a friend/acquaintance who wants to join but has not yet joined, you should tell that person the gate is closing and the ship is about to sail.

This Saturday Morning

The FM group will take over Bailey Bridge for 80 minutes for 8 hills and the HM group will run at an easy pace for 50 minutes.  Core will again take place at 7 a.m.

FM: Depart Turner High School at 5:30AM for 80 minutes and 8 HILLS. You’ll do a warm up to your liking, and then head to the BAILEY BRIDGE. You’ll do your hills here, then a cool down and should be back at the track by 6:50AM.

HM: Depart Turner High School at 6 AM for 50 minutes EASY run. You’ll run behind Turner to Veterans, then head up to Magnolia and turn LEFT or go West for 25 minutes and turn around back to Turner to be at the track by 6:50 AM.
