WEEK 23 – Jingle Bell Run – Long Steady Run

Few more LONG runs and then it’s what we’ve been waiting for all season…THE TAPER! The time the few weeks before the race that your body gets to recover from the beat-down that you’ve giving it…so that you can toe that start line at 100%

A serious weekend full of inspiration

HUGE congrats to all of those folks that ran BCS last weekend, especially our newly crowned Boston Qualifier Queen Valerie! WOOHOO! We knew you would get it, my dear! And HUGE congrats to Ted for  a huge PR in the Brazos Bend 100 miler! And Laurence and Crystal for killing their first 50 miler like it was nothing!

Jingle Bell Run

We’ve got the Jingle Bell Run this weekend, Sat Dec 16th at 9AM at Centennial Park on McLean.  For those new to PARR, this is our little annual family gathering.  There will be some treats and a run for the kids. We have A LOT OF KIDDOS and it’s fun to see all of them in one place   The weather looks like it will be perfect, so after your long run…go grab your family real quick or just come!

Saturday Details

Meeting at Turner and just the long steady runs on deck. FM+1 to2 minutes. Focusing on just time on your feet and knocking the miles. Out. These are the runs to practice your race day routine – pre-race meals, clothes, hydration, fuel…all the things you might want to do on race day.  You don’t want to be testing on race day!  Temps should be dreamy…so enjoy every minute this weekend!
