WEEK 4 – Saturday – 08/13/16

Hi y’all,

Quick note…but important info, so please take a hot minute to read!

Pace Groups

We made a first pass at placing folks in pace groups for the Full & Half Training. HOLY COW there are a lot of you! So bear with us as we try to get everyone where they need to be over the next few weeks. I am absolutely 100% certain that I made some mistakes or missed an email, a text, a Facebook message or a conversation…even if I looked you right in the eye and said YEP, I GOT YOU. I tried to go back through last year and put those veterans in same group, but I’m sure I missed some. Please look to see if you are where you need to be. And you can just REPLY to this email with any corrections.

There are guidelines at the top of the pages as to approximate paces for each group. These are not hard, fast lines…just a guideline to get you training with folks at similar paces. We’ll have Group Leaders for each group, that will be another point of contact for you in getting with the group for any possible weekday runs and our official Saturday runs.

FULL MARATHON – https://goparr.com/full-marathon-groups/

HALF MARATHON – https://goparr.com/half-marathon-groups/

IF YOU DON’T SEE YOUR NAME…look in the WAIT WHAT? Group at the bottom of each HALF/FULL page…that just means I don’t know your pace! If you are on THIS PAGE => https://goparr.com/who-me/ – then it means you indicated you are training for both Half and Full…and I’m just not quite sure what to do with you!

Saturday – Here we go again…a tad earlier

Full Marathon: 5:15AM – Meet at Turner High School Track for Hills. 9 HILLS – 90-minutes on Magnolia Bridge

Half Marathon: 5:30AM – Meet at Turner High School Track for Hills – 6 HILLS – 70 minutes on Bailey Bridge

The group will then meet back at the track at 6:50AM for CORE work and should be wrapped up by about 7:15AM. Be sure to bring your mat or towel…that track is tough on planking elbows!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out, should you have any questions. We’ve got 4 more Saturdays on the hills…and then the good stuff starts. The firsts. The longest runs. The best days. Can’t wait.
